Heavenly Voice Ministries

My name is Rex Johnson. I am the founder of Heavenly Voice Ministries. I have been married to my wife Pam since 1989. We have two sons, Chet & Eli.

God has always been a part of my life. I was raised in a Christian family.

Mama and Daddy had me in church from the time I came into this world. My Granny McGee taught me so much about God and His Son Jesus. She was a woman who was strong in her faith and tried to live as Jesus said we should. I cannot thank my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles enough for raising me to serve the Lord.

In 1985, my senior year in high school, I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. I am so thankful God came into my heart. My life has not been the same since.

I married my wife in 1989. As a young married couple, we felt at times that we could handle the world on our own. In 1991, Chet Alan Johnson was born prematurely at 29 weeks. God gave us a wake-up call. Thanks be to God that he was only in the hospital for 5 weeks with no permanent defects. Chet is truly our miracle! Elijah Paul Johnson came along in 1995. He lives his life like his namesake, Pam's Granddaddy Paul. There's no need to stress over things you can't do anything about.

We, like any other couple, have made mistakes along life's journey. There have been times we strayed from God. We allowed the devil to use incidents where we were hurt to keep us away from church for several years. In 2000, troubles again entered our lives. We had nowhere to turn but to the Lord.

There are years we wasted not living our lives to the fullest for God. He continued to look after us, correcting us when we made mistakes and allowing us back into His loving arms.

October 6th, 2003 I surrendered to God's call into the ministry. I struggled for months thinking of every excuse I could give God why He didn't want or need me to be His servant-I'm not educated, I can't stand in front of people and speak, the excuses continued. God made the weight of His will so heavy on my heart that I had no choice but to obey. When I surrendered to Him, he brought peace again to my heart. I began my ministry as associate pastor at the church we were attending, which was Pam's home church. I was called as pastor of Rebecca Baptist Church in July of 2004 where God allowed me to serve him and Shepard his flock as my first senior pastor ship.

The early part of year 2007 God gave me a vision and inspired me to further serve him by reaching out to the world with Heavenly Voice Ministries. God has given every person a testimony. I realized that people can and will share their testimony if you will allow them. By one sharing what God has done in their life, others in the world would love to hear what impact God has had in their life.

It's amazing what problems one has there are others in the world who have the same. It's just connecting people with people. Our personal testimony is a witness and when we share our relationship with God to others, we witness.

Mankind is in search for something that fills the void in their life. That void is Jesus Christ.

Our goal at Heavenly Voice Ministries is to reach as many people in the world as can be reached who will share what God has done in their life so others will know that they are not alone. If God working a miracle in their life has changed ones life, there are others who is in need to hear what God has done. Our God takes the ordinary circumstances and turns them into extraordinary. The testimony you have is the answer others are looking for.

Proverbs 17: 8A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth. Your miracle will help others who are in need of hearing what God has done for you. If you will turn it to the world it will prosper as God said it would.
