Fitzgerald City Marshall Todd Grantham

 


Todd S. Grantham, 45, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.

Funeral services were held at 11 A.M., Saturday, July 19 at Arbor Baptist Church with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Grantham was born October 26, 1962 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Alex Steve and Marie Mobley Grantham. He was a 1981 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and also graduated from the ABAC Police Academy. He began his law enforcement career in 1982 and had worked for the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Department and the South Georgia Drug Task Force. Mr. Grantham was currently employed with the Fitzgerald Police Department as City Marshall. He also formerly served Ben Hill County as a deputy coroner. He was owner/operator of the former Healthy Trend Gym. Mr. Grantham sang bass for the local quartet New Jerusalem. He was a member of Arbor Baptist Church and a member of the church choir. Todd enjoyed flying model airplanes, weight lifting, and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife: Whitney Grantham of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law: Jessica & John Marsh of Fitzgerald; son: Bradley Grantham of Fitzgerald; granddaughter: Briley Marsh of Fitzgerald; and cousins: Hubert and Janice Smith of Fitzgerald.
